Hi All,
This one follows the path of “Summer of 84” and “Summer of 94”. We’ve skipped a couple of
decades.
It must be similar to an existing dance, but here it is.
Summer of '24 – Rich Goss (11/01/24)
Improper
A1: LLFB,
Robins pull by left, Partner alle Right 1.5
(wave of 4 across, Larks left in center)
A2: Bal Wave, walk fwd to new wave
(Larks left in center)
Bal Wave, 1/2 Hey (st pass rt on side)
B1: Partner Balance and Swing
B2: Circle Left 3/4, Neighbor Swing

There may have been more discussion on this dance, but I didn't see it and
I'm a bit confused:
A1 Your partner is in your Right hand for the 1st balance in a wave
(Larks/Gents are in the middle). Then you step thru that wave into the
next wave and your partner is in another wave behind you and a new neighbor
is in your right hand. You balance. Wouldn't you just make a R-hand turn
to get back to your partner to B&S in B1? I don't understand the Hey part
"on the side."

Linda,
It seems you do a half hey with neighbors/shadow but not your partner, but
meet partner across the set for the swing. But I may be wrong.

On A2, Rich/you could just change the call... The teaching would be:
"Balance the wave... turn right halfway, and, along the side, pass left
shoulders with the next to meet your partner."... Write/call: Turn 1/2,
pass L to meet your Partner".
It was unclear to me, too, I thought the hey was across the set. This makes
it clear to me, at least.

Hopefully, some new dances will emerge from the thought processes put into this. What a

Rich, I still think you need to write/call in A2: Bal, wave, 1/2 hey ON THE
SIDE... If you don't say that there still may be folks who think it's going
across the set. That is something you can visualize will work, so the call
needs the clarity.
I'll call this in STL next week, along with Bob Green's Reel. Thanks!

Second balance is 4, 1/2 hey is 8. It would probably wor. But would be more comfortable
if you just went straight into the partner swing. IMO.
