Almost every contra corners dance can be made alternating.  There’s a good Ted Sanella
contra corners triplet which is indeed a good way to introduce it.  I also agree that one
should teach the corners their role (since they are not moving) as well as the active
couple.  Also note that chorus jig is inherently gender free.
