Hi everyone. I’m enjoying all the great information that is shared on this list. Thank
you!
I’m wondering if you have a favorite Triplet that would work for a very small but
experienced contra dance with just 6 dancers left after the break? Ideally more dancing
together and less casting down/back, etc….
I’ve done Ted’s Triplet #5, and they loved the hey for 6. I will call Labor of Love by
Kathy Anderson (contra corners) next time.
I have the book of Zesty Contras & Give and Take, but not sure how all of the 33
Triplets work or if they are really fun…..

Sorry I meant Microclasmic by Ann Fallon was a triplet with contra corners.

If you want a triplet with contra corners and a hey for 6 (and very much for experienced
dancers) then try:
Cinnamon CrullerTriplet, properBI / 10-23-05
A1. 1s cast to bottom, 1s up the center and 1/2 figure 8 below (2s move up)A2. 1s turn
contra cornersB1. All partner allemande R 3/4, 1/2 hey for 6B2. Partner balance, swing -

I don't see what you mean. 1/2 figure 8 would leave the ones improper for contra
corners.
One possibility is:
A1 1s cast to bottom, lead up the center and cast off with the 2s.

You'd turn contra corners with the same dance role person I think. But then come back
to proper after the partner balance and swing. Though it doesn't really matter what
side anyone is on as there's no neighbor interaction.

Hi All:
My mistake - Alexandra is correct. The 1s come up the center past one couple and
then ½ figure 8 above the 2s. After
this the 1s have progressed to below the 2s and are improper. I should also have pointed
out the contra corners are with same-sex corners.

This isn't a contra (it's in Playford), but one of my favorites is

For me, the three-person hey feels very different from the normal contra
