Hi,
Wondering if anyone had a good 3 part contra. 3 part as in AABBCC, or 96
beats. I'm wanting to match it up to a three part tune.
Thanks, Rich

note from Peter Amidon: I transcribed this off the
Alan Dater/Great Meadow Music video about contra dancing:
'Together in Time'
improper double progression.
A1: Circl L once, swing Neighbor
A2: Down center four in line, turn as couple and return
B1: Face across & full hey, Women pass R Shldrs
B2: Dosido new Neighbor (#1's start facing down, #2's facing up)
and Allemand Right same New Neighbor 1.75 times
C1: Men take Left Hand, balance wavy line across,
Men pull by the left and swing your partner.
C2: Circle L 3/4, Blnc ring, Partner Cal Twirl.
DAVID WROTE: That's one of my dances: Shutesbury Reel. History:
When Sue Sternberg returned from Ireland in around 1984 or 85, she
had a great 48-bar tune which I felt deserved a 48-bar dance. She
lived in Shutesbury at the time.
Best,
Peter Amidon
