There is a lovely Rick Mohr dance called the Connectrix in which you are always in contact
with either a partner or neighbor. It includes balance the ring & neighbor swing, down
the hall and come back cozy, duck to form a cloverleaf, circle Left 3/4, partner swing,
then circle Left 3/4, balance the ring and California twirl.
As for the original issue described, I believe it may be more direct to walk onto the
floor near the individual and prompt without the microphone. Particularly in the case of
someone who was responsive to the prompts as in the case of the blind woman. Of course, if
a clump of confusion is caused by someone who cannot or will not listen to the prompt,
this method may have no effect.
