Hi,
Here is another question about a dance I collected at the Down East Country
Dance Festival this year. In the B parts of Don Flahertys Heartbeat
Contra I have Swing Neighbor; left gypsy (1 ½ ?) to Partner; All Swing
Partner/ Circle left ¾; balance (who?) and California Twirl (Partner?).
Besides my other questions I am unsure if the All Swing Partner ends (B1) or
starts (B2).

This is what I have for Heartbeat Contra:

A1: Balance ring, pet turn,
Balance ring, pet turn
A2: Balance ring, Neighbor Swing
B1: Ladies gypsy 112; Partner Swing (on side)
B2: Circle 3/4; Balance ring, Cal twirl

I don't know this dance (although a web search implies that it may
include a petronella turn). But these moves, if all part of the B half
would have to be done like this:
B1: Swing neighbor (8);
men left gypsy 1 1/2X to partner (8)
B2: Swing partner (8);
Circle L 3/4X; Bal(?); California Twirl (8)
There's not much time for the swings and the Cir/Bal/CalTwirl would be
rushed, so you may need to reserve this dance for more experienced
dancers. Also the men left gypsy may be a women left gypsy, depending on
where you started from.

The second half of Heartbeat Contra goes;
B1. Ladies gypsy R 1 1/2, partner swing
B2. Circle L 3/4, balance, California twirl
The gypsy tends to take more than 8 beats with most ladies, so you'll
find some callers substituting ladies allemande R 1 1/2 instead.
