I agree - that is how I first saw it too and would be the most comfortable way to start.
I also see the problem Lisa described - if you start with your partner - the hey requires
all 8 changes be completed. In many heys that go to a B&S you sort of skip that last
change. If the tempo isn't to fast this is fine - but could be a problem if the
dancers can't keep up with the tempo during the hey.

When I read the original post I thought "Surely the hey should start passing partner
right shoulder after the Rory O'More stuff. And Lisa says that in effect it does - I
would think of it as right pull-by with partner as the first change of the hey. That
gives 8 changes in 8 bars, which sound fine to me - though I wouldn't want to argue
with Lisa Greenleaf!
