Walter, since it's a gate, they are holding onto the original neighbors, and the
statement that the actives are moving forward simply tells the pair who is moving forward
and who backing up as they whirl around. It's like a butterfly whirl but only holding
hands, not arms about the waist. It is a move more common in English Country Dance, but
it is a fun swoopy way to get the actives swooped into the lines down the hall. Great
dance.

(The caller I learned this from probably used the term cast off).
A2 Line of four down the hall, turn alone...........
B1 Circle left three-quarters and swing partner
