Up hall in line/4 - 1s turn as a couple and 2s turn alone, down hall and bend line B2. Circle L, circle R 1/2, w/partner California twirl This was written in December 1984 for the author's birthday. Having a line/4 go up the hall first is very rare, but not that hard. Yes, there is no partner swing, but you can have the 1s swing and face up instead of gypsy in A2. You can find this in Dizzy Dances II, where Gene mentions this is a possibility for anyone's birthday. There are many dances written for birthdays, but nealy all of them are named for specific recipients.
