Quite a few of the old-time songs have lyrics. June Apple, Fly
Around My Pretty Little Miss. Sandy Boys and more. Some of our
old-time bands sing along after the caller drops out -- works fine for
a contra, but it's not such a good idea for a square (grin).
There are even a couple that the dancers sing, too. Going down to
Cairo (which is a regional, Missouri & Southern Illinois, song) is
popular. And of course there's a section in Nail That Catfish to a
Tree where the dancers all "oo-ooo-ooooh" along with the music.

A friend asked me if there are contra dances whose associated
melodies/tunes have lyrics.
Some of the older tunes have lyrics, though people don't usually sing
them for dancing:
la bastringue (mademoiselle voulez vous dancer ...)
haste to the wedding (come haste to the wedding ye friends and ye
neighbors ...)
someone claims to have rory o more lyrics:

Then there are southern tunes (that don't have specific dances) but do
have some lyrics:
sandy boys (come along sandy boys ...)
cluck old hen (cluck old hen, cluck old crow ...)
angeline the baker (angeline the baker ...)
