Hi Rickey. I checked the dance at the following
address:http://www.cambridgefolk.org.uk/contra/dances/steve_zakon/with_thanks_to_the_dean.html
A1: neighbor allemande L 1.5 (this is with neighbor #1; this has you trade places with
this neighbor, but you're still in the same minor set with him/her)
ladies chain to partner (end facing neighbor #1 across set)
A2: ladies allemande R 1x
partner swing (end facing neighbor #1 across set)
B1: Circle L 1x
w/partner, shift L to next couple (now facing neighbor #2 across set)
Circle L 3/4 (facing neighbor #2 up and down set)
B2: Dosido neighbor #2
Allemande R 1.5 with neighbor #2; look for next neighbor
Hope this helps.
Lynn

HI ALL,
It seems to me that Steve Zakon-Andersons Thanks to the Dean has 3
progressions even though I know that it is a double progression dance.
(A1) Allemande left below (1 ½ ) PROGRESSION #1
Ladies chain ( ½ )
(A2) Women Allemande Right once around and back to their partner
All Balance and Swing your Partner
(B1) Circle left about once and lead up or down the set to new
neighbors PROGRESSION #2
Circle left with these neighbors ¾ around
(B2) Dos-i-do this same new neighbor (who is now below you) (Does this
mean that the circle left ¾ has undone PROGRESSION #2???????????)
Allemande Right with this same new neighbor ( 1 ½ ) WHICH LOOKS LIKE
PROGRESSION #3 ???????????
Can you straighten me out? Ive checked the web site but it does not help
with this.
Thanks,
Rickey Holt, caller

P.S. I am hoping to use this dance tomorrow night.
