Well, here's a stab at a Bubble Sort contra. It's just a theoretical exercise. As with any sorting dance, I guess, a defect is that once you're sorted you just keep dancing with the same people. (At school we danced in small groups and kids turned their backs and stopped dancing to indicate they knew they were sorted and would not change places anymore.) Sort of a Contra Richard Allen Fischer duple (proper/improper irrelevant and swings can end with either person on either side) A1 Balance and swing neighbor A2 Long lines fwd & back; long lines fwd and back and if shorter neighbor is not on the right do a roll-away with a half sashay as you come back (Shorter dancer rolls to right) B1 Circle left; left hand star B2 Allemande right with next neighbor, allemande left with current neighbor Note: (if I'm picturing it right) Do not cross over at the top! Do cross over at the bottom! Would this work? I think I'm just adapting Jeff and Ben's dance and squishing their U into a contra set.
