I print my dances in very large fonts on full-size paper, so it's easy to
glance over at the dance on the passenger seat to check the sequence. I try
to learn it as quickly as possible to minimize the moments when my eyes are
not on the road. This is a skill that is also useful on stage.
I don't want to lose sight of the fact that one's ability to teach a dance
effectively is as important as being able to call it well.

Thanks Lisa. Are you reading from cards when doing
this or do you memorize
the dances? I've done a fair bit of practicing while riding in the car, but
not yet driving.
