Thank you all for your advice. I thought it went pretty well. I only needed four dances,
as many predicted. They were The Nice Combination, Becky's Brouhaha, Apples and
Chocolate, and Butter.

First thing would be to make sure that the dancers have a good time. This has been a long
haul through the pandemic, so people are just overjoyed to be in the same room moving
together to live music. Complex dances, special moves, mind-twizzlers -- IMO this event is
not the right time or place for these. Instead, just orchestrate your portion of the
evening so everyone has the best time ever.
If those are the dances you are comfortable with, then go with them. They are all
straightforward dances. I'm familiar with most of them. One thing: you probably
don't want to call both Roll in the Hey and Butter because they both contain full
heys.
Again, I would concentrate on the gestalt of the evening and focus on everyone having a
good time.

So, I'm humbly soliciting advice for putting together a first half out of the
possibilities above, with many thanks.
Also, there is a tune the band likes to play, a pretty smooth one by Tom Turino called
"Nighthawk 750". I'm looking for a dance that works well with this one.
