Here is a version of an earlier dance that came out of a recent discussion
between Chris Page and I. It is a no partner swing indecent formation
dance, sans the "Sharks & Jets" of its predecessor, and done as a no
partner swing dance in indecent formation rather than a Becket mixer.
Indecent Exposure by Bob Green (2018) (duple indecent)
A1 Neighbor balance & swing (16)
A2 Long line forward and back* (8)
Pass thru and turn alone (8)
B1 Long line forward and back* (8)
Right and left thru with new neighbor
B2 Hey for 4
* This can also be done as an advance & retreat with the line moving in
parallel. Wes Side Story is a Becket mixer where you get one swing with
your partner, and you have shadow across from you in the typical spot of a
partner in indecent formation that you never swing. h

I cannot recall dancing a modern contra in the last
few years that does
not include a Partner Swing, so I have a few questions.
First, do you call any such modern dances without a partner swing? Why or
why not?
Second, if you do, do you announce it before the preceding dance so as to
inform those pairs of dancer that love to swing together?
The Tease by Tom Hinds is one such creative dance that begs to be called.
