I have used the following circle mixers. They are all easy and fun.
La Bastringue
Experanza (medium)
Cabot school mixer
Alabama Jubilee
Family Waltz
When calling contras I now tend to look at the entire evening as a
"mixer." Still, mixers can certainly add variety and intense social
interaction to the evening. Announce them in advance so the regulars can
seek partners with that knowledge. (I like to always keep the regulars on
the inside of my calling effort. I want the regulars to be invested in
hall integration.)

I have, for instance, Esmeralda’s Revenge (and the easier versions January
mixer and Atlanta mixer); I have Teds mixer. So something maybe in the
middle of those two. Something not so involved that people will scratch
their heads, and with flow.

you be a little more specific about the "regular" dance
series you are
planning to call fun mixers for?
Is it a square dance series; a "barn dance" series, an
English country,
advanced contra, an open, public contra dance; or some
mixture thereof?
(I am trying not to make assumptions before I comment on
such things.)

while dancing around
this year (they are sometimes few and far
between) and
