How do you determine what your minimum is, and what

calling a dance worthwhile for you?
A fascinating topic, and I'd love to hear what others have to say.
I've had some amusing conversations with other callers about all the
things we factor in when we decide to take a gig. In summary, it
boils down to something like this:
1. music
2. food
3. place to stay
4. hall
5. worthy cause
6. money
Thus, in a complex algorithm that defies explanation, I'll take a
dance for almost no money if I know the music will be great, or
someone is going to feed and house me nicely, or it's a beautiful
hall and a neat community dance that just needs a nudge to keep
going. Otherwise, I look for a $75 minimum.
