I find hand-held mikes very strange. Why would you lock yourself into a fixed position, or tie one of your hands up when you can use a wireless headset? Apart from keeping your hands free while you are on the stage, it also means that you can get down on the dance floor to teach, demo, interact between dances, and join in dances if you need to make up numbers (or just for fun!). I use a Trantec TS66/HM66 linked to my old Trantec S4.5 receiver and it has been great. My wife uses a Samson Airline 77 since it has no belt pack - it will work with whatever she is wearing!
