Subject: Re: [Callers] emerging artists
The St Louis "Hatchlings" (read this month's CDSS news for the story)
spawned a bunch of choreographers, and since they had live
salt-and-pepper-shakers each week at the Calling Parties heckling them until
the dances were smooth and easy to dance, they're all danceable, and a few
have a chance of being your next favorite dance.
On this page,
http://www.childgrove.org/hatchling_choreographies.htm, you
can see the dances from 2008 in HTML format, and if you like, you can
download the  Rich-Goss-like 4x6 cards in Word format.
I particularly draw your attention to these dances:
   1. Fly Around My Pretty Little Miss by Dale Wilson
   2. XYZ by Bob Green
   3. Blue Persuasion by Chrystal Gallacci Jones
   4. Mountain Ridge by Billy Boyer
Let me know if you like them, or if you need any tips on teaching them.

  Hi all,
In January, the NYC contra is holding a dance themed around "emerging
artists".  I will be calling to Stunt Double (Laurie Tupper, Christopher
Jacoby, Dave Casserly, Julie Vallimont).  It should be a great dance.

Anyway, in keeping with the theme, I would like to call some dances by
"emerging" choreographers.  I'm currently looking for dances that fit this
loose description -  "emerging" can really be defined however you want.
  So,
if you know of dances that you like that you think fit the bill, let me
know!  Also let me know if the dances have been called before or still need
to be given a trial run.

 Thanks,
 Bronwyn
