My mistake - Alexandra is correct. The 1s come up the center past one couple and
then ½ figure 8 above the 2s. After
this the 1s have progressed to below the 2s and are improper. I should also have pointed
out the contra corners are with same-sex corners.

You'd turn contra corners with the same dance role person I think. But then come back
to proper after the partner balance and swing. Though it doesn't really matter what
side anyone is on as there's no neighbor interaction.
