Here's one for ya, Ryan.
A Dance For All Fool's...Day!
Dave Colestock
Becket
A1 (Slide to Left) and Circle Left 3/4 with New Neighbors
Swing New Neighbor (propose the B1 move that you and your partner would like to do)
A2 Ladies Chain to Partner (time to discuss the proposed B1 move with partner)
Long Lines Forward and Back (time to confirm the B1 move with neighbor couple)
B1 Do Whatever you Like - Dancers call this part!
Moves that will work here include a Full Hey, Full R&L Thru, Full Ladies Chain,
Full Gents Chain, Promenade Over and Back, Balance and Square Thru (twice),
Basket Swing for all 4, R&L Thru then 1/2 Hey, Promenade Across then R&L
Thru,
or just wander around the set (leading your line of 4 for a little walk around the
floor) for
a while. The B2 allows dancers to continue on with the fun (long basket swing?),
or
balance and swing partner, so it's up to the dancers to just be in place to
start the A1
when it comes to the progression to a new Neighbor.
B2 (Balance and) Swing Partner, back on your own side of the set. If dancers have
continued their move from the B1 they will need to be ready at the end of the B2
to slide to the left as a couple to Circle Left with the next neighbors and
progress.
This swing time is also the time to discuss with your parther the next proposed
B1 move that you will do with new neighbors. The Balance with Partner is optional,
but musically can be a great cue to the dancers that this is the start of the B2.
Let me know what you think, and enjoy!!!

I'm calling a dance tomorrow. Being so close to April Fools day, I'm
planning just a tiny bit of foolishness. There's a dance, it may be called
Trick Or Treat, where the hook is a 16-count segment where the dancers are
encouraged to call some action of their own, so long as they end up back
where they started at the end. If anyone has a copy of this and can send
it my way, that would be great. Otherwise, I'll just put together my own.
Thank you,
--Ryan
