I've often wondered why dance writers wouldn't want to put their dances out
there for us to use. Yes, one makes a bit of money from the books, but is it
a living? Isn't the more important thing to have your name associated with
your work? Having your dances online, proofed by you, and clearly marked as
having been written by you, simply makes it harder for people to claim they
don't know who wrote your dance.
And it shouldn't stop you from making a book of your dances. Many of us like
to buy books just because we like having them around, and they make such
nice gifts!
