I agree with Chris and Mark. If it is just my arm doing the holding, it
takes the same radial force to execute the swing at a given rate of
rotation, mass, and radius, whether I am swinging around a lamppost or a
partner. If my partner is applying a similar radial force to my
shoulder blade, we can either each use less force or or we can swing
faster.

my hand on your back. It takes 20lbf to keep you from going flying,
and 20lbf to keep me from going flying. So my hand puts 40lbf on your
back, and your back puts 40lbf on my hand.
This ignores that there's no way we could swing this fast with just my
hand on your back.
