Whelp, by the time I got here several had beaten me to the punch. It’s amazing how many square dance tunes turn up on the session, www.thesession.org, and the North Atlantic Tune List, www.natunelist.net as well. If there’s stuff you can’t find even then, the Internet tune archive www.tunearch.org is the closest thing there is to a comprehensive database. Its predecessor, the fiddlers companion, had a lot of ABC files. There are a number of applications and websites to use ABC music notation. Some people use a combination that may require command lines and other advance computer knowledge. Some 'techies' write their own programs. I'm a self-taught computer user and prefer a free 'one stop shopping' application, and for me (and many others) that is EasyABC. I mostly prepare sheet music for myself and several groups I play with.
