And of course a simultaneous start (and a simultaneous finish) is
simply the mid-section of the way it would have been danced then -
these days we cut out the gradual build-up to the point where
everyone is dancing and cut out the fade-out ending which finished
with just the bottom three couples dancing. So it would have also
worked with a staggered start.
