Hi Folks,
One of our new dancers has asked if we could have a handout on the history
of contra dance as well as a list of the figures with a brief description
of each.
Does anyone have examples of these types of resources? Any leads?

We've got the attached file that was done to explain the figures to people
who don't understand English very well, but as you'll see, it's in French
and hand-written, so I don't know if it will be useful for you! It's also
several years old and I have not taken the time to update it with our
current terminology unfortunately.

Here's a website with dance move descriptions. Perhaps you can combine them
withe the drawings from Marie-Michele. It is hard to describe the moves in
just a very few words, I think, so you might need a large flyer or small
type! 😊
