BIDA has used a google docs spreadsheet. Our accounting needs haven't been
complex, and the ability for any of the organizers to make changes has been
really useful.

What tool(s) are used to track your club's
expenses?
At the first Puttin' on the Dance in 2011 in White River Junction, I heard
Rob Lindauer present how the Hartford Dance does it. They have a great
alignment across the different dances through the use of a common
spreadsheet format for reporting the event results. In addition, they use
Quicken for the tax accounting. While our organization doesn't have to
file the detailed tax returns (well not yet), I think it'd be good to
organize our accounting so it will be easier when the time comes. It
doesn't look like Quicken would be the best fit for us, so I'm reaching out
to see what else is used.
Thanks!
