Yes, IOCA is still holding dances. I have led dances for them in NY State and
Massachusetts since the early 1990s. Most recently I led a dance on an island on Lake
George last October. This dance has been going since the 1920s

A version of the jitterbug figure to "Captain Jinks" appears
on page 5 of _IOCA Barn Dance_ (1942). See

"IOCA" stands for "Intercollegiate Outing Club Association." See

for the story of how Ted Sannella got his start as a caller during
an IOCA-sponsored event in the Adirondacks. IOCA is apparently still\an active
organization. See

However, I don't know how much of a role, if any, traditional
dancing still plays in the activities of IOCA or its member
organizations.
