Hi Musicians,
What is your favorite Heel-Toe/Patty Cake Polka tune? I'd particularly appreciate
a fast-learning option for a new band for a new dance series with fiddlers who are getting
a bit overwhelmed with new tunes. But your other choices, too. Or is Jenny Lind the
standard?

I hear that "The Girl I left behind Me" is good for that dance, though
personally, I always play Jenny Lind (just the A and the B, not the C and
the D that's in Barnes). And it's easy...

"This Old Man" works fine, and I often fall back on that if I am working
with a band that isn't prepared to play Jenny Lind (a personal favorite).
"This Old Man" is easy and everyone knows it! If you are working with
musicians who can pull it off, try requesting a change in key (up), every
time they notch up the tempo!
