Understood, and I am sorry if my tone seemed harsh. It seems that "on the day of the dance" may be the best compromise between giving a little lead time in case a substitute performer must be found, and keeping the testing reasonable current. Some of the Greenfield series do not allow for unmasked performers, or may make an exception for wind players. It is up to the organizers.
