I have two contra dances that use variations of the dolphin hey's first cousin, the dolphin gypsy, where both couples work in tandem and exchange the lead. Inspired by Tanya Rottenberg's classic Delphiniums and Daises, Dolphiniums and Daisies uses a dolphin gypsy sliding past both people in the other couple ( http://youtu.be/K81dAxYAHJQ ). In 12th Night (  http://youtu.be/5vDDNh0ECaI ), you only pass one before you gypsy half and change who is in the lead.
