Dear All,

We are in the midst of the process of moving to the Shared Weight platform.  When all is said and done, the shared weight callers and organizers lists, the contra sound forum, the ECD list and this one -- focusing on dance parties, squares and "other than contra" will all be supported on that list serving platform.

The effort to do this all began about six months ago or so, and it seems it couldn't have happened at a better time.

The tricky bit is moving the archive of messages.  The tech folks involved seem to have a handle on that, so it should be a fairly painless transition.

Sincerely,

Ridge

They will still function as an email forwarding service. So the
usual email messages will continue as before, including attachments to
files. However, there won't be any storage of those attachments or
other files or images and you won't be able to search through past
messages. If those things are important then it might be worth
considering moving to a different platform. Many Yahoo groups are
moving to Groups.io. I moved the lists I'm in charge of over to
Groups.io a couple of years ago and am very glad that I did so.
