The Slow One, known as Solomon Levi, will most likely be called at the Heath and Cummington, MA Fairs before August is finished..
And again once the monthly Chesterfield, MA dances start up for the season in September.  It's a staple.  In CT/RI fiddler Tom Hall
does a neat "doodle dee do" during the quiet part...  But there is no quiet part on the Square Dance History recording.  And there is no
slow part; with the complete stops that come after each line during the arm turns...at the caller's discretion.  "I'm not going too fast for
anybody am I ? ?" ...followed by double time for the dosadoes and promenades.  Caller Ted Glabach in Southern VT was great with it.

It seems the eclectic style of square dance, emerging as the American folk dance, is already here - square dance programs using a variety
of country dance formations.  This is pretty much accepted by dancers and by those who plan events.  The public calls it a "square dance."
Americana!  Western wear might be evident.  Two weeks ago, at a town ambulance fund raiser, all received a straw hat at the chow line.
Two of the dances were actually squares.

As per Otto Wartman: Barn Dance works!

Tony:  Could you please incl one or two of Lyn Cady's dances from Sherburn
Center - Bridgewater Corners, VT.  Honest John, Doo Dar, , The Slow One.
Maybe tell how them Vermonters danced the same dances all the time, year
after year...didn't want anything new.      Dudley

Wonderful!

This sounds perfect.

Please include a bunch of easy dances for one-nighters!
