John Krumm did this at a wedding dance I attended:All solo promenade. Raise your right hand over your head. Stop the music, face someone, shake hands and introduce yourself. Repeat for a while.I don't remember what John did exactly after that, but it would lend itself into joining left hands and promenading with this person.
