From what I learnt from another organisation's magazine, insurance will only pay if the injured party can prove who was at fault.
So if the organiser did something wrong they will still be responsible, if you did you might be sued even without insurance. (Maybe the organiser could too - for booking someone without insurance.)

Landed a big-ticket corporate party. The event organizer's contract stipulates that I need to provide a certificate holding them and their client harmless.
