Thanks for the responses! So it looks like Venmo alone is just not able to
do this sort of simple tracing of payment to purpose.
We do have a Square account and used Register/POS successfully in the past
- the tablet it was set up on sadly died during the COVID hiatus. Will take
a look at replacing that (it was great for cash sales tracking and
reporting as well) and/or investigating the Zettle system. We're of course
striving to minimize any fees bite.
