We have 3 admins and I can only speak to my (and original as set) policy and that is to study each request's profile before granting acceptance (hate to use THAT word in Contra context, but...). I look for when they joined FB. If they are connected to another member or other contra community, and what in general they are posting. Do not misunderstand that...I am looking at are they all about; hosting a website, or marketing a product...not their political or religious beliefs. In the past we have had regulars who wanted to sell purses and other items through our group page. I too am concerned as to why the sweet girl from Thailand (or wherever) wants to join our group when there is no obvious connection.

We are leery of trolls who intend to disrupt the group, and have been rejecting them.

I was wondering if other group pages are receiving similar requests, and what they have done about it.
