Acronym: “An abbreviation formed from the initial letters of other words and pronounced as a word (e.g. ASCII, NASA, radar, UNICEF, laser)”. Snafu, below, is an acronym. Most of the rest are just abbreviations. If you can’t pronounce it, then it is not an acronym.
