Agreed. Once around is hard enough to get done in 8 counts sometimes.

Hi Ann,
Circle left 1+1/4 in my experience will take at least 10-12 counts.
Perhaps consider:
A1: long lines forward, rollaway neighbor on the way back
circle left 3/4
Yoyo Zhou
Especially if it's a dance for new dancers who aren't giving strong enough weight in their circles!

As a general comment, I actively dislike dances that try and squeeze
circle left 1 & 1/4 into eight beats.
One dance I was in (Dancing and the Road to Hell) led to arguments on
the dance floor.

No, but the timing on the circles will confuse some.
But if you want 2 long lines, DSD and swing with both partner and neighbor,
you could do:
Duple Imp
A1. N DSD (6)
NS (10)
A2. LLFB (8)
Circle L 3/4 (8, forgiving)
B1. P DSD (6)
PS (10)
B2. LLFB (8)
Circle L 3/4, Pass Thru By R (6,2)
So... has *this* already been written?
Similar to Greetings, by Tori Barrone.

Leaving out the long lines, and moving things around a bit, your dance is very similar to the following, by Orace Johnson.
Cheers, Linda
Midwest Folklore
Contra/Becket
A1 -----------
Circle left three-quarters
Neighbor do si do
A2 -----------
Neighbor Balance and Swing
B1 -----------
Circle left three-quarters
Partner Do si do
B2 -----------
Partner Balance and Swing

What are "LX G loop" and "GX L loop"?
