Laurie called that dance on Saturday and I remember (as a dancer) that the LLFB helped us to "ground" ourselves in what was otherwise a wild series of moves. Great dance, btw.

David, Thanks. That is how I had it too. I have seen several videos online with "reputable" callers (I do not remember who at the moment) and they were doing the Forward and Back first and then the ladies chain. Do you think that going from a neighbor swing to a ladies chain is awkward? Cannot imagine anything by Gene Hubert having something awkward in it. I am calling in Winston-Salem, NC Tuesday the 24th, and I am thinking of doing Double Boomerang there. As you probably know, Gene Hubert started that series, so I would much prefer to get it right. I have both versions, but a note that the Chain and then lines is the original. The reasoning behind reversing them is that the long lines gives you a chance to reorient before trying to do the chain on the diagonal -- it makes it easier for newer dancers to orient to which way is the left diagonal, which can be tricky for some folks to do directly from a swing.
