              Yes, that would break the Hey up for the dance that I have in mind.  I have Dr Faustus’ Jig for 16-16-24-24.  I really need 16-16-16-16-16.

Patch the Pipes is for an English dance of mine with fairly specific choreography to fit the tune.. The tune structure is two 8-bar A phrases followed by two 12-bar B phrases. I wouldn't think it would be a good choice for a contra dance.
