Sure Jerome (and anyone else listening)Note, there's two versions of the dance. The one I've actually run half a dozen times with dancers is the variant; and I assume that's the one you were asking about. I've yet to run the original, but I'll talk through what I had in mind for both.Tamlin’s Cross (variation)
Luke Donforth
Type: Contra
Formation: Four Facing Four
Level: Int-Adv
A1 -----------
(8) All 8, forward and shout, robins roll your partner away on the way out
(8) Corner swing - square set
A2 -----------
(8) Larks Left Hands across star - come back to where they started square
(8) Robins Left Hands across star, kept left hands, take hands in crossing short wavy lines of 4 (right to the one they swung)
B1 -----------
(4) Balance the short Wavy lines (R & L)
(12) Pass neighbor you swung by right for a half grand hey*
Turn away from neighbor
B2 -----------
(16) Partner balance and swing
Notes: All 8 are passing through the middler for the half hey. (like a traffic circle in the middle)
Half the folks are heying up and down, and half across.
When the four people of the same role go into the middle and would normally pass one other person by left, they all do a hands-free star left half wayFor that pair of stars in A2, both sets are going CCW, so the larks pass the one they swung at the start of the star, but not at the end. As they're stepping back to place, the robins are going in and also travelling CCW. The original only has one star.Tamlin’s Cross

In star to star, I presume you pass the one you swung by the right? In hey, I presume it begins with star turning halfway (without hands) to find & pass opposite of one you swung? My presumptions are, of course, subject to error, thus my questions. Thanks,Jerome GrisantiJeromeOn Sat, Mar 22, 2025, 3:35 PM Luke Donforth via Contra Callers <contracallers@lists.sharedweight.net> wrote:_______________________________________________Hi Maia,My most called:Dance all Night - Rick MohrSpring Blooms - Linda LeslieFox Hollow Fancy - Jacob Bloom (grand square!)Coconut Cream Pie - Lynn AckersonThe Devil's Backbone - William WatsonA couple of mine that have unusual features:Double the Pleasure (swing both neighbors, not your trail buddy) https://www.ibiblio.org/contradance/thecallersbox/dance.php?id=11126Things that go Bump in the Night (6 balances) https://www.ibiblio.org/contradance/thecallersbox/dance.php?id=16360Tamlin's Cross (variation).
