I think it would be delightful to see and interact with the mass of costumes through scatter mixers and circle figures. Also, with scatter dances, people would have the fun of discovering which costume they'll dance with next.

As for a spooky tune, my favorite Halloween tune is "Ichabod's Last Ride" by J. Edmunds. Here paired with "Accordion Crimes" by Andrew Marcus.

Our next dance is Oct. 30. It's our semi-annual art show/dance rather than a Halloween dance, but maybe next year we'll program it as a costume dance.
