BTW, in a medley, you can change directions (becket-L to becket-R) if you also flip which side of the set the dancers are on, but only do this once. (E.g., the first time through, swapping circle left 3/4, N swing for a gents allemande left 1+1/2, N swing.) As long as dancers continue to progress to new neighbors up/down as before, they won't come back to previous neighbors.
