Major Hey by Erik Hoffman is a favorite dance of mine. The original is AABCC, but I frequently vary it to call it AABBCC. The database behind Caller's Box seems to be down right now (Michael Dyck and Chris Page, you are aware of this right?) so here's the dance:

Original:

Title: Major Hey
Author: Erik Hoffman
Formation: 4-4, each couple becket
A1: Circle left 3/4; up and down pass thru next neighbor swing
A2: Long lines; Larks/gents allemande left 1.5 to give right to partner in long waves of 8
B1: Balance, slide right (past partner); balance left, slide left (past partner), face partner and slight pull right into
C1: ½ hey for 8, pass P right to begin
C2: Partner balance and swing

To make it AABBCC, I do this:
Title: Major Hey
Author: Erik Hoffman
Formation: 4-4, each couple becket
A1: Circle left 3/4; up and down pass thru next neighbor DSD
A2: Neighbor balance and swing
B1: Long lines; Larks/gents allemande left 1.5 to give right to partner in long waves of 8
B2: Balance, slide right (past partner); balance left, slide left (past partner), face partner and slight pull right into
C1: ½ hey for 8, pass P right to begin
C2: Partner balance and swing

Going by memory only, I believe there's a double becket called Major Hey by Charley [last name escapes me], the pattern is AABCC though. I've called it and dropped a bit of choreography to make it AABB, I'm betting there's a way to add choreography for an AABBCC structure.

“40 Years of Penguin Pam” by Seth Tepfer is a personal favorite. It goes really well with Hangman’s Reel.

Hi there everyone, glad to join the list.

I’m curious about duple minor contra sequences that are written for 3-part AABBCC tunes. Can anyone share or point me to any such dances?

My question is partly inspired by Gene Hubert’s Fan In The Doorway, written for three part *slip* jigs. I’m pretty sure I’ve run across sequences written for AABCC tunes (no repeat on the B). I might even have spotted some 4–face-4’s written for full 3-part tunes on ibiblio (the database seems to be down as I write this so I can’t confirm). But so far I’m coming up empty for AABBCC duple minors.

If you’ve got anything I’d be much obliged.
