[Organizers] Transition to ungendered dances

Not exactly the same as your question, but Country Dance New York did a
survey last spring of a number of dances in the Northeast, about their use
of gendered versus non-gendered role terms. You can see the results here:

There
was quite a range of responses, from never even considering it to having
switched to Larks and Ravens several years ago. No one correct answer, but
interesting reading. A number of dances are not identified because the
response was from an individual rather than the group per se.

The result for Country Dance New York was to take another year to
experiment with using Larks/Ravens and Gents/Ladies alternating weeks, with
conscious attention to how dancers are responding, both in opinions and
attendance. More data in a year!
